Nokia is set to reveal the Lumia 610 at an event at Mobile World Congress Monday morning according to a report from Reuters which cited two independent anonymous sources.
The Lumia 610 will be priced even cheaper than the current mainstream Windows Phone handset from Nokia, the Lumia 710, which sells for ?200 at O2 and Three Networks.
Apart from the fact that it will almost certainly run on Windows Phone Mango (with an update to WP Tango in the pipeline), the device is expected to be a cut down version of the Lumia 610.
Expect it to come with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon single core processor, a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive display, 4GB onboard storage, 512MB RAM, a 3.2-megapixel camera and a number of Nokia services like Nokia Drive or Nokia Maps.
Even with these features, the handset will be competitive with similar Android handsets and will significantly undercut the competition. The only other sub ?200 Windows Phone smartphone on the market is the ZTE Tania.
Nokia is also expected to release the global version of the Lumia 900 smartphone with support for LTE and 4G. The device was unveiled in January at CES in Las Vegas.
