The 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible is a special edition car that has been introduced to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Ford?s Special Vehicle Team. The car is available with a 5.8-liter supercharged V8 that is capable of producing about 650 hp and a torque of 600 lb-ft along with a 6-speed manual transmission. This model is able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 3.5 seconds along with an estimated top speed of around 200 mph. It also features new Brembo brake system and Bilstein electronic adjustable dampers which helps to improve the performance of the car. The 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible has a performance-driven design which includes new down force- generating front grilles, two new forged-aluminum wheels, aggressive splitter and new quad exhaust system. There is a new cooling system included in this model that features larger cooling fan, a more efficient charge air cooler, an intercooler heat exchanger along with volume increased 36 percent, fan shroud along with high-speed pressure-relief doors and a higher-flow intercooler pump. The 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible is available with two new sets of forged-aluminum wheels including a unique wheel with the optional packages. The steering assist levels and all AdvanceTrac settings in the car including handling have been tuned for better performance. There is an intermediate sport mode which can be used to push this model hard at the track without disabling the safety systems for more aggressive driving.
